This show was a blast! Penny Ashton did a great job with this adaptation of Pride and Prejudice. She sings, plays multiple characters (male and female), and keeps the audience laughing throughout. Recommended!

CIRCLE
A fun show, well acted, about a series of characters (in pairs) linked in a circular chain of connections. Recommended.
Kempe’s Jig
A cute little show with some good singing and songs and a little (mild) audience participation.
Trust Me!
A pretty dull political story which I was not really interested in following. It was all political intrigue with no characters I cared about. Also, the acting was mediocre at best, and the stage presentation was pretty lifeless — just talking heads.
A Steady Rain
This show was relentlessly dark. It was a somewhat interesting story, and the actors were pretty good (despite stumbling over a few lines here and there). Still, I couldn’t get attached or feel much sympathy for either character, and as I said, the show lacked any humour at all. I’ve been to darker shows about cops in the past which still managed to include some humour, and still got involved in the story. This show is middling at best.
O(h)
I don’t avoid dance shows, but I tend not to go to them because I don’t get much meaning out of them. I do enjoy the chance to watch female dancers, but the dance itself is usually too abstract for me. O(h), on the other hand, was a lot of fun. The two dancers (they aren’t just actors) talk about dance (with humour, often) while performing dance. I learned some things about dance! Recommended.
Confessions of a Fairy’s Daughter
It was an interesting story, but there wasn’t any real tension. It was sort of line a series of interesting or funny anecdotes. Also, the performer’s voice didn’t project well. After the show she admitted she was a writer first and just sort of fell into the acting thing, which fits my feelings about the performance.
The Show Must Go On
A fun show by a very good storyteller. Last year he did a show called Gametes and Gonads, which was quite silly. This one was much more straight aheWorthier seeing.
Radio :30
A good show, worth seeing. Well performed, and the direction (and/or blocking? Someone explain that to me) was not distracting. The character and story were interesting but not strongly engaging.
Limbo
A good show by Andrew Bailey. Not as compelling as previous works of his, but he skill as a performer shows.
